Letter to the Media for October 15, 2012 Maxi Mind Event  I am the Community Relations Coordinator for Maxi Mind Learning Centres. Our treatment program helps to resolve ADHD without the use of medication. Please note that Dr. Colin Geft, M.D. (Toronto’s #1 MD on RateMD.com) has recommended our treatment “As a effective drug free intervention to help children with ADHD.” I have attached a reference letter from him to this e-mail as the last attachment. Please note that we have an up-coming event where our Educational Director Dr. Arnie Gotfryd will deliver a mind-opening presentation on the benefits of our service; after which there will be a question & answer period and the opportunity for attendees to experience, firsthand, the phenomenal technologies we use for treatment. The event will take place on Monday, October 15, 2012, at 7:30pm, at the NEW! North Thornhill Community Centre – located at 300 Pleasant Ridge Avenue, in Thornhill, Ontario L4J 9B3. More information about the event can be found on our Events page on the Maxi Mind website: Maxi Mind In the News. I have included as an attachment our invitation to the event for Reporters and Media. Also, I have attached a document that contains information on one of the technologies we use to help our clients. The Integrated Listening Systems device utilizes music to help create new neural pathways in the brain, employing a process called neuro-plasticity. The other documents I attached contain information on the success of treatment provided by Maxi Mind to benefit clients. There is one other document “Thought Control” that explains another technology we use in treatment called Play Attention, which enhances focus and attention. It is a video game played without a joystick. Instead the player focuses their attention, which causes the brain to in-turn effect the nervous system and in-turn to provide output to a ‘sleeve’ that the player wears. The sleeve receives in-put and thereby conveys this information to the game itself. We issued Press Release earlier in this, which was created to promote our events in February, 2012. The Release can be found on Canada Newswire by searching: Maxi Mind. The title of the article is: “New Alternative Therapy Reverses Attention Deficits Without Medication.” Background: The Maxi Mind brain training system is the culmination of decades of research, study and practice by educator and scientist Arnie Gotfryd, PhD. For over 30 years, Dr. Gotfryd has taught in regular classrooms and special ed programs in elementary, secondary and university settings. In one school he created and managed a remedial department staffed by six teachers. Dr. Gotfryd has been frequently called upon to provide alternative interventions for children with a variety of learning disabilities. Many seek alternatives to medical and pharmaceutical approaches that often merely mask learning difficulties without providing remedy for the underlying focus issues that cause them. Besides that, it is all too common that the side effects outweigh the benefits. Dr. Gotfryd is well connected with a large international community of parents, educators, counselors and others who have been testing safe, holistic and non-invasive methods with excellent results for their own children, the students they teach, and the clients they advise. Should you have any questions, comments or want to arrange for an interview with Dr. Gotfryd, please feel free to contact me by e-mail and/or by phone.   Thanks,   Zack Steel Community Relations Coordinator Maxi Mind Learning Centres, Inc
